Mariangela Mendez

Mariangela Mendez is an independent curator and works as an Assistant Professor at the Arts Department, Faculty of Art and Humanities, Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (2006- on going). She has worked as Visual arts adviser, Ministerio de Cultura, Bogotá (2002–04); assistant curator, Santa Fe Gallery, Bogotá and Plastic Arts adviser for the Mayorship of the City of Bogotá (1997–2000). She regularly contributes to catalogue essays and reviews in various magazines. She has an M.A. in curatorial studies from the Center of Curatorial Studies at Bard College NY (2006), and a B.A., in Plastic Arts at Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, 1998.
