Virginija Januskeviciute is currently back at work as a curator at the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) in Vilnius after completing de Appel Curatorial programme in Amsterdam. The programme has culminated in 2008 with an exercise of site-responsive curating, "Master Humphrey's Clock” and "F.R. David - The Book of Intentions" published as part of it. She has studied History and Theory of Art in Vilnius Academy of Arts before joining the curatorial team of CAC in 2002. She has been engaged in the making of several large scale international exhibitions, individual artists' projects, shows of young artists, publications and, crucially, the CAC TV - the CAC's weekly project for television (2004- 2007). Among other recent projects are production of "Vilnius Is Burning", consisting of an exhibition in Torino and a book (curated by Raimundas Malasauskas), curating "The Joy is Not Mentioned" project by Egle Budvytyte, Goda Budvytyte and Ieva Miseviciute for the CAC and co-organisation of "iMagine" seminar in Vilnius, one of the Public Preparation events of the Biennale of Young Artists in Tallinn, in 2007.
