Gaël Charbau is art critic and independent curator. Director of the critical college of the Salon de Montrouge since 2009.
He founded Journal Particules in 2003, a free bimonthly newspaper on contemporary art and society, pubished until 2010. He was its editor for seven years.
He organized various discussions on art ("Les Dimanches en Famille", with Stéphane Corréard at Point Ephémère, Paris, 2005-2007), Ben Lewis in Paris (2010), APT (2011).
He coordinated various catalogs including AF21.1 Art France, 1997-2007, Jeune Création 2008, Elsa Sahal, and catalogs of the new Salon de Montrouge (2009, 2010, 2011).
He curated the first solo exhibition of Neil Beloufa, The importance of subjects, at gallery LHK, Paris (2009).
